Child Poverty Action Group

Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) works to produce evidence about the causes and effects of poverty on children and their families. It looks carefully at how Government policies affect children and promotes evidence-based ones that result in reducing and ultimately eliminating child poverty.

CPAG publishes reports, makes submissions and conducts small-scale research projects to achieve its goals. Current issues for which better policies are being advanced by CPAG are, improved income support and better housing and essential services (health and education) for low income families, all of which increase equality in Aotearoa-New Zealand.

Our regular newsletters can accessed on our website. You can help us by  joining CPAG through the website  and ‘liking’ us on our Facebook page.
