Big Picture Competition: make a difference and win prizes

The Big Picture Competition is for school students to learn about child poverty and be part of making a difference. To enter, students must create a big picture showing what kids in their neighbourhood need to be healthy and free from poverty.

The nationwide competition for schools is supported by Child Poverty Action Group and Unicef NZ and Anglican Social Justice.

There are more than $5000 in prizes to be won, including probooks, iPads, Android tablets and more. We’re also excited to announce that selected entries will be exhibited at Parliament!

Teaching resources are attached, including classroom activities and links to the curriculum. The activity suits social studies, visual arts, health or English classes. Further resources available at www.thebigpicture.org.nz.

Entries can be completed any time before October 17th. Entrants can be student groups or classes of primary or secondary age.
